The star of Poor Things, 35, radiated sheer elegance in her stunning plunging pink gown, adorned with an intricate woven design that added a touch of sophistication to her impeccable look. Inside the event Emma changed into a black blazer dress. 

Dazzling in a gold ensemble, the Desperate Housewives alum, 48, graced the red carpet with undeniable presence and glamour. 

The Barbie director, nominated for a DGA, wowed in a breathtaking scarlet gown that featured an array of bedazzled silver buttons.

The trio of beauties led the cavalcade of luminaries, including Cillian Murphy, Mark Ruffalo and Rose Byrne.

This year's nominees lineup showcases a familiar cast of contenders in the awards circuit.

Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer), Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things), and Martin Scorsese (Killers of the Flower Moon) headline the five nominees. 

Greta Gerwig (Barbie) and Alexander Payne (The Holdovers) are also in the running, despite being snubbed for the upcoming Oscars.  

Within the category honoring first-time feature film directors, the noteworthy nominees include Cord Jefferson for American Fiction, Manuela Martelli for Chile '76, Sex Chat Noora Niasari for Shayda, A.V. Rockwell for A Thousand and One, and Celine Song for Past Lives.

In the realm of television, Succession takes the lead with four nominations.

The comedy series division showcased a balanced competition, with The Bear and Ted Lasso each receiving two nods, and Bill Hader securing the final nomination for Barry. 

Turning to the TV movie and limited series category, Lessons in Chemistry led the pack with three nominations, accompanied by All the Light We Cannot See and Daisy Jones & The Six, completing the impressive lineup of nominees.

The documentary category DGA nominees are Moses Bwayo and Christopher Sharp for Bobi Wine: The People's President, Mstyslav Chernov for 20 Days in Mariupol, Madeleine Gavin for Beyond Utopia, Davis Guggenheim for Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, and D. Smith for Kokomo City.

Additionally, the Directors Guild will present David Nutter with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Television, Janet G. Knutsen with the Frank Capra Achievement Award, and Gary Natoli with the Franklin J. Schaffner Achievement Award.

The 2024 DGA Awards kicked off with DGA president Lesli Linka Glatter acknowledging the historic double strike that occurred last year. 

'I struggle to find words to address the pain everyone faced in our industry in our collective fight to get what we all deserve,' said Glatter.

'We are thankful that we are back doing the work that we love with exceptional new creative and economic protections for DGA members and so many others. 

'Our sister guilds, the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, had difficult fights and achieved strong deals on behalf of their members.'

'Ultimately, what did we learn from the strikes? We learned that Fran Drescher is the voice of reason, and unfortunately, that's what reason sounds like. 

'And two, audiences love watching old shows that have been on a lot of seasons. They don't care at all if they're new.'
